Absorbency is the volume of fluid a product holds before leakage. Rough bands: light 500-1000 ml, moderate 1000-1500 ml, heavy 1500-2500 ml, overnight 2500-3000 ml. The core blends wood-pulp fluff with superabsorbent polymer (SAP) — sodium polyacrylate crystals that swell into a gel on contact. Quality varies, so a serious maker validates batch SAP, not just the brand claim.
